Scabies

Scabies, or 'the itch' is a contagious skin disease caused by the itch mite.

Scabies does not go away on its own. Do you have scabies? Always get treatment! And keep in mind that everyone around you who may also have caught scabies must be treated at the same time as you.

Scabies is treated by utting on permethrin cream or taking ivermectin tablets. Always follow the orders of your GP.

Since November 2022, the medication is covered by basic health insurance. The amount comes out of your excess.
